FutureFlash! Project accepts The President’s Interfaith Service Challenge

Students at the University of Florida support The President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge by creating a network of support for a sustainable, just and peaceful future.

They have joined the FutureFlash! Making the Game Club.  Their goal is to create and pilot test online and real-world activities to empower young people -- and those who care about their future -- to make the change they want to see in the world.

Together, we are Illuminating the Earth Charter
for the global celebration of Earth Charter +15.

Inner Peace: A Path to World Peace

The Interfaith Climate Group will host an event on Sunday, January 18 for World Religion Day.

The program will include an introduction to the Earth Charter, focusing on:
Principle 16: Promote a culture of tolerance, nonviolence, and peace.

f. Recognize that peace is the wholeness created by right relationships with oneself, other persons, other cultures, other life, Earth, and the larger whole of which all are a part.

We will close with a labyrinth experience with Kathryn McLean.  "A labyrinth is circular pattern with a single path that leads to a center and out again on the same path... Labyrinths are used for quieting the mind in a busy and chaotic world, praying, discerning life questions, pondering difficult situations."
